ACCOUNTABILITY IN REPORTING

The Electronic Services System Promise

It’s our mission to connect the public to real estate records electronically and to simplify document submission. As a subdivision of the State of Iowa, governed by the Iowa County Recorders Association, it’s our duty to openly share our reports and policies.

Policies and Procedures

Iowa was the first state in the country to offer free online public access to real estate documents statewide. As the coordinated record system for the state, Iowa Land Records holds the duty to report any decisions and actions to our stakeholders and community members. Transparency in our standards and policies is a priority. Feel free to download our full policies and procedures document today.

28E Agreement

Iowa Land Records (Electronic Service System) is governed through a multi-county agreement established under Chapter 28E of the Iowa Code. The agreement has been approved by the Board of Supervisors in each participating Iowa county. The agreement was recently updated through an amendment adopted unanimously by the participating counties. Iowa Land Records and the Electronic Services system serve all 99 Iowa counties, and act as a statewide coordinated land records system.
