Snowmobile, ATV and Boat
Registrations
Iowa
County Recorders provide certain recreational vehicle registration services.
For more information, contact your local County Recorder.
Boat Registration and Title
Boat
fees are based on the length of the boat. All boats over 17' in length (except
canoes and kayaks) require a title. All boats with a lien must be titled. When
transferring a boat, a current registration, bill of sale and the title, if
indicated, are needed
ATV and Snowmobile
ATV and
snowmobile registrations expire on December 31st of each year. ATV's registered
since January, 2000, and snowmobiles registered since January, 1998, must have a
title. When transferring an ATV or snowmobile, a current registration and the
title, if indicated, are needed.
Snowmobile, ATV and Boat regulations may be found by visiting the Iowa
Department of Natural Resources web site at
